The company makes an independent tool for welding or cutting of metals by the patents of doctor of engineering science, professor of stand of materials technology in the Odessa’s polytechnic university: Vladimir Lebedev.
EXOTHERMIC BRAZING-WELDING-CUTTING MEANS The brazing-welding means give possibility to join different metals by brazing and welding without the external sources of energy. In many cases these means may substitute the gas welding and brazing. In case of emergency, accident and in the situations when there are no external sources of energy but the work must be done quickly these means may substitute the existing technologies. ELKAS - LEBEDEV'S EXOTHERMIC BRAZING – WELDING PENCIL is a cylindrical rod which diameter varies from 4 to 18 mm and the length from 70 to 200 mm. The pencil consists of cylindrical combustible shell, which contains the compacted exothermic micsture. The ignition of the pencil is made by open fire – by gas lighter or by 3 – 4 burning matches. While burning the pencil provides high temperature – up to 1800oC and provides the synthesis of the high temperature brazing fillers and fluxes. The pencil can join the elements of machines in overlap and in a butt of the thickness of 0,3 – 6 mm. ELKAS -THERMIT - EXOTHERMIC CUTTING PENCIL is a cylindrical rod which diameter varies from 12 to 18 mm and the length from 150 to 250 mm. It is destined for cutting metals mostly made of steel and cast iron. The pencil consists of cylindrical combustible shell which contains the compacted exothermic mixture. The ignition of the pencil is made by open fire – by gas lighter or by 3 – 4 burning matches. While burning the pencil provides high temperature .This temperature and special additions ruin the surface of a metal being cut. BURNING POT ELKAS-THERMIT-POT Cylinder of external diameter of 80-120 mm, of length 100- 150 mm with inlying central aperture of diameter of 30-40 mm. A pot sets on fire by a lighter and burns preserving a primary form. While burning the temperature of 2000oC is obtained. While burning and after 3-4 minutes after burning in the said aperture one can insert a tool, which calls for heat treatment. A tool can be heated to temperature of 1200-1300ÎC (to white heat), whereupon transfers to hardening liquid (water, butter and etc.). By one pot one can process several instruments. A pot can be used for facing and hard-facing on tools, and also for heating of parts of machines for blacksmith welding.
